There was a rat snake at the motel last night. It was just about the most sluggish and inoffensive creature imaginable, but this woman couldn't get to her room because she refused to go within 20 feet of it. I had my umbrella with me, so I slowly herded it out into the bushes. The woman's husband was way more impressed than he needed to be.
